Terms of Service

KlanKare (“we”, “us”) operates a marketplace connecting customers who need medical equipment or care with independent, verified local vendors. Equipment listed on KlanKare is owned, maintained, and delivered by these vendors — not by KlanKare. We are currently piloting in Kochi, starting with oxygen concentrators.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to book equipment on KlanKare. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including your phone number and delivery address.

When you book equipment, you pay the rental fee plus a refundable security deposit upfront through our payment partner. The deposit is held by KlanKare in escrow — not released to the vendor — until your rental is verified returned.

A booking is only confirmed once a vendor accepts it. Vendors have 15 minutes to accept or reject a booking; if they don't respond, we automatically try the next nearest available vendor. If no vendor can fulfil your booking, it is cancelled and you're refunded in full — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Before dispatch, the vendor uploads a photo and a power-on video of the exact unit being sent to you. At delivery, you receive a one-time OTP — share it with the vendor only once the equipment matches what you were shown. Your rental billing period starts only when this OTP is verified, never at dispatch.

If your equipment malfunctions during the rental period, contact us and we'll coordinate a replacement from a nearby vendor, typically within 2 hours, at no extra cost to you.

At the end of your rental, the vendor collects the equipment and you'll receive a return OTP once collection is verified. Your security deposit is released after this step — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for timelines.

Vendors on KlanKare are independent businesses, not KlanKare employees. KlanKare verifies vendor identity and equipment condition through the handshake process described above, but the underlying equipment is owned and maintained by the vendor.

You agree not to misuse the platform — including providing false information, attempting to bypass the OTP verification steps, or using the service for any unlawful purpose.

KlanKare facilitates the connection between you and independent vendors and is not the manufacturer of any listed equipment. To the extent permitted by law, KlanKare is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from equipment use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

We may update these terms as KlanKare's operations evolve, including once our company registration and GST details are finalised. We'll update the “last updated” date above when we do.

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
